Apple Releases iOS 18.2 Beta 1
iOS 18.2 will feature a number of features announced at WWDC 2024, but not included in the first two updates. First of all, this is, of course, Siri with ChatGPT support. Now the voice assistant will finally become useful and will be able to give you all the information you need, for example, on how to prepare a dish with a detailed recipe.
Another new feature is drawing pictures in iOS 18.2. The function is called Image Playground: it will also allow you to edit images, but only on the top iPhone 15 or iPhone 16. Along with this, Genmoji will appear to create unique emoji that look like you.
iOS 18.2 will introduce a Mail app with a feature to categorize emails, so that important emails appear in one section, while newsletters and notifications appear in others.
iPhone 16 users will have access to Visual Intelligence, a feature that recognizes things around you through the camera.
The text editing function will receive additional options to change the content, add more words or turn the text into a poem.
At the moment, iOS 18.2 is only available for iPhones with Apple Intelligence, that is, iPhone 15 Pro and all iPhone 16s. But as with the early beta versions of iOS 18.1, after some time this build will be available for all other models, albeit in a stripped-down version without the neural network.
