Apple Releases First Ad For Vision Pro Headset
Apple has published a Get Ready commercial dedicated to the upcoming release of the Vision Pro mixed reality headset. In the video, characters from famous films, cartoons and TV series wear masks, glasses, helmets and other accessories.
Vision Pro’s “Get Ready” ad features a bunch of clips from movies and TV shows where characters wear glasses, helmets or masks (including clips from Onward, Ant-Man, Star Wars: A New Hope and “Iron Man”).
At the same time, the overall structure, as The Verge writer Jay Peters noted, is very reminiscent of the first iPhone ad, called “Hello,” which also collected several clips from films and TV shows of people answering phone calls. Considering that the smartphone was an unqualified success, the advertising worked great, and Apple plans to repeat it with its new product.
The video ends with the slogan “Get Ready” – the device will go on sale in the near future. Apple will begin accepting pre-orders for the Vision Pro on January 19, and the official start of sales of the device is scheduled for February 2. The company announced a mixed reality headset last summer – the device features advanced technical characteristics and capabilities. The Apple Vision Pro costs $3,499.
