Acer Launches Ebii e-Bike With AI And Automatic Gear Shifting
Acer is preparing to add an electric bicycle with the interesting name Ebii to its portfolio of computers, monitors and other electronics.
The novelty weighs about 15 kg – significantly lighter than most electric bikes. Acer claims that the model can reach speeds of more than 32 km / h and travel more than 110 km without recharging the batteries.
It takes about 2.5 hours for the batteries to be fully charged. It is noteworthy that a bicycle traction battery can be used to charge almost any electronics, from smartphones to laptops.
In addition to a stylish design and many interesting features, it also boasts a full-fledged integration of artificial intelligence.
The fact is that the system based on artificial intelligence is able to independently control the transmission of a bicycle, switching speeds in the process of movement without the participation of the driver himself. This is very convenient, as the driver does not have to be distracted by gear shifting, as a result of which he is more focused on the road and the surroundings. What’s more, the AI-based technology uses multiple sensors in the body of the bike to detect hazards along the way. The developers of Acer ebii claim that thanks to this technology, the bike itself can avoid collisions with pedestrians, for example, so that driving safety is taken to a whole new level.
The company has not yet announced how much the ebii will cost or when it will be released.
