Medtronic And Nvidia Collaborate To Build AI Platform For Medical Devices
Nvidia and Medtronic recently announced a collaboration to bring AI to medical devices. Both companies plan to create an AI application market that will allow developers and doctors to develop their own algorithms for use in Medtronic medical devices.
Nvidia goes on to explain how integrating its AI technology into GI Genius will enhance the latter’s capabilities: GI Genius was designed to host a suite of AI algorithms, and integrating the NVIDIA Clara medical platform could enable Medtronic to scale algorithm development for real-time procedures, potentially accelerating AI innovation to improve patient care.
«The companies will integrate NVIDIA medical technology and advanced AI technologies into Medtronic’s GI Genius™ Intelligent Endoscopy Module, designed and manufactured by Cosmo Pharmaceuticals. GI Genius is the first FDA-approved AI colonoscopy tool to help doctors detect polyps that can lead to colorectal cancer.»
