X Users Will No Longer Be Able To Hide Blue Checkmarks

Last year, the social network allowed premium users to hide their blue checkmarks, but the platform has now reversed this decision.

X subscribers have started receiving notifications that this feature will soon disappear, no specific time frame has been given. Before notifications were sent out, the section describing how to hide the verification icon was removed from the support page for X users.

The administration of X did not specify the time frame for when the function of hiding the checkmark will disappear. Last week, before notifications were sent out to users, a section describing how to hide the verification icon was removed from the support page for X Premium users.

“As a Premium or Premium+ subscriber, you can hide the check mark on your account. The checkmark will be hidden in your profile and messages. It may still appear in some places, and some features may indicate that you have an active subscription,” the feature description reads.
