The Lord Of The Rings Game About Gollum Has Been Postponed Again
The upcoming video game The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, developed by Daedalic Entertainment, has been delayed yet again. And it happened just a month before the release.
Originally announced back in 2019, the project was originally scheduled to release in 2021. However, as we’ve seen from a number of video games in recent years, the game was eventually delayed to September 1, 2022, bringing it closer to the premiere of Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power series. Now, the release window has shifted again, and it’s unclear if it will premiere before the end of 2022.
According to the creators of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, the game has been delayed by several months: “We are committed to meeting our community’s expectations and unraveling Gollum’s untold story in a way that is in line with J. R. R. Tolkien’s vision. That being said, in order to provide the best possible experience, we have decided to push back the release of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum by a few months. We will notify you of the exact dates as soon as possible.”
The project will first be released on PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One/Series and PC. There will be a release for the Nintendo Switch later.
