The Last Of Us Part I Remake Coming To PS5 In September, PC Version In Development
A page was published ahead of schedule on the PlayStation Direct website, confirming previous rumors about the release of a remake of the first part of The Last of Us. The already deleted page contained box art, screenshots and some other information.
According to this leak, a remake called The Last of Us Part I will be released for the PS5 console on September 2 this year. An exclusive Firefly Edition is planned for PlayStation Direct with special bonuses. In addition, the page contained a mention of “also in development for PC”. As such, fans should expect a PC port to arrive, though no release date has been given.
According to the description, The Last of Us Part I remake for PS5 and PC will include “upgraded gameplay, improved controls and enhanced accessibility” (obviously referring to the improvements available in The Last of Us: Part II). Improvements have also been announced in areas such as effects, research, and combat. An exclusive version of The Last of Us Part I Firefly Edition includes a full single-player campaign and a prequel chapter called Left Behind.
