Tesla Promises Free Electric Motor Replacement For Owners Of First Cybertrucks

Tesla continues to work to eliminate possible problems in the systems and units of its electric Cybertruck pickup truck – the automaker recently informed the first owners of the electric vehicle that the next time they visit the service center, one of the electric motors of the electric pickup truck will be replaced with a new one, NotebookCheck reports.

Tesla has begun contacting owners of the first batch of Cybertruck electric pickups to invite them to a free replacement of the traction motor with a more advanced modification. According to the manufacturer, the updated electric motor has higher efficiency and increased reliability. In this case, only one of the traction motors will be subject to replacement, although all Cybertrucks produced so far have been equipped with at least two traction motors, since they all have all-wheel drive.

Despite Tesla’s claims that the engine needs to be replaced due to the usual improvements in efficiency and reliability, some experts believe that the move could be something of a soft recall, in which the automaker quietly replaces problematic components with more modern and reliable ones to in the future you will not encounter negative reviews from car owners.
