Telegram “Stories” Will Be Available Only To Premium Users
The Telegram messenger created by Pavel Durov has got a new feature – Stories. This is an opportunity to publish short videos that are deleted a day after publication, and they are available in almost all modern social networks,
The creator of the story will be able to see who has viewed it, tag other users, turn off notifications on the story, archive it, show it on the profile or hide it from it.
At the end of June, Telegram founder Pavel Durov announced the Stories feature in the messenger. Channels can potentially increase the number of subscribers after reposting messages from channels in Stories, Durov noted. He said that he could no longer imagine Telegram without this feature.
New versions of Telegram with Stories support are already available for iOS and Android – the desktop version for Windows has not received the corresponding update.
By the time Stories was launched on Telegram, this option had a number of restrictions that could not be bypassed. For example, music files cannot be attached to videos, but stickers and emoji can. It is also possible to add text to the image and description to the video, but the length of the latter is limited to 1024 characters for paid subscribers.
