Spotify Desktop App Update Adds New Design

Spotify, the popular music streaming platform, has just unveiled this exciting update to its desktop app, bringing a new look and mobile experience right to your computer screens.

The new update will refresh the user experience on all computer screens in the world.

“Your Library” is now in the sidebar so you can access your saved music and podcasts.  Spotify says its research has shown that the new library helps users save time by providing a better overview and making it easier to switch between playlists. Users can now also move and pin playlists in the library, and add songs to editable playlists.

Elsewhere, the «Now Playin» view takes up the right side of the app, showing the currently playing song or podcast. According to Spotify, “Here you can even find more song and artist information, as well as tour dates and merchandise information, making it easy to connect with and learn more about your favorite artists. For select podcasts, you can even follow the transcript as you listen.”
