OpenAI Trying To Interest Hollywood With AI Video Generator “Sora”
OpenAI boasted positive feedback from artists on its hyper-realistic video generator Sora and began lobbying for the use of the AI model in Hollywood.
In particular, Walter Woodman from shy kids, who created the short film Air Head with the help of Sora about a humanoid creature with a yellow balloon instead of a head, praised the model. He noted that he was “fascinated by her ability to create absolutely surreal things.”
At the end of February, OpenAI Chief Operating Officer Brad Lightcap and his colleagues demonstrated Sora’s capabilities in Hollywood, which allows it to generate realistic videos up to a minute long based on user text prompts. A few days later, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman attended the Oscars events in Los Angeles, where he also appeared to brief the media industry on Sora’s capabilities.
OpenAI introduced AI video generator Sora in mid-February, and its capabilities immediately attracted the attention of Hollywood and Silicon Valley. Although the Sora neural network is not yet available to the general public, some famous actors and directors can already use it.
