OpenAI Releases Official ChatGPT Mobile App For iOS
OpenAI has released an official mobile app for working with the ChatGPT chatbot, but so far it can only be used by users of gadgets running on iOS and only in the United States. This is stated in the statement of OpenAI.
Like the ChatGPT website, the new iOS app will require users to sign in with an OpenAI account. Of course, the processing of the request takes place outside the actual smartphone on the company’s server, so an Internet connection is required in any case. ChatGPT Plus subscribers have access to the same advanced functionality as the web version – access to the GPT-4 language model, early access to new features and faster responses to queries.
OpenAI introduced the ChatGPT bot to the general public back in November last year. Since then it has been improved and now it is quite suitable for generating ideas, writing texts, compiling summaries of materials, getting advice on various issues, and even formatting and processing texts. Additionally, the bot can be used for educational purposes – if you trust the accuracy of the answers of the system, which often fails.
While the app is currently only officially available in the US, usage in other countries will be rolled out in the coming weeks and feedback will help improve the software.
