Microsoft Unveils Surface Thunderbolt 4 Dock
A few days ago they appeared on the network an image of what appeared to be a new Surface Dock, hinting at an upcoming accessory from Microsoft. The new dock is now official – the company has just unveiled its third-generation Surface Dock for USB4/Thunderbolt 4-enabled computers. It’s compatible with the latest Surface Pro 9/8, Surface Laptop 5, Surface Laptop Studio and other supported devices USB4.
Surface Thunderbolt 4 Dock supports not only Surface devices, but also third-party devices that have a USB4 / Thunderbolt 4 interface. The dock supports two 4K monitors at up to 60 Hz, data transfer at speeds up to 40 Gb / s and charging power up to 96 watts.
There is one USB-C connector on the front panel, located next to the USB-A port. On the back, there are two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, 2.5Gbps Ethernet, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a security lock slot.
The Surface Thunderbolt 4 Dock is now available at the Microsoft Store for $299. The company also continues to sell the original Surface Dock, its second generation, and the Microsoft USB-C Travel Hub.
