Meta COO Sheryl Sandberg Leaves The Company
Sheryl Sandberg, chief operating officer of the American corporation Meta, is leaving her post. This was announced on Wednesday on Facebook by the founder and head of the company Mark Zuckerberg.
According to the media, Sandberg has been working with Zuckerberg since 2008 and is actually his right hand. “End of an era. After 14 years, my good friend and partner Sheryl Sandberg is stepping down as COO of Meta,” he wrote.
Sandberg, according to her Facebook post, wants to spend more time with her family and philanthropy, and will hand over her powers to Javier Olivan, who is now director of growth, in the fall. Despite her departure, Sandberg will remain on the company’s board of directors.
