Automotive startup Lucid Motors has unveiled its second electric vehicle, the long-in-development crossover Gravity. The car shares a number of visual similarities with the first Air model.
The Lucid Gravity electric vehicle offers up to three rows of seating that can accommodate seven people. The manufacturer promises a new generation of touchscreen cockpit and allegedly greater range of autonomy than “any other electric car” with the exception of the Air.
Specifications remain under wraps, but the model is expected to have the same powertrain options as the sedan. If so, there could be an entry-level Pure option with 480bhp. and a power reserve of about 644 km. Potentially, a 620 hp Touring version and a Grand Touring version with 1050 hp. with an increased power reserve of about 800 km. may join it. There is even potential for a top-of-the-line Sapphire variant with over 1200 hp.
Lucid Motors plans to start taking orders for the Gravity in early 2023, with the car going on sale in the US and Canada by 2024. Sales in other countries will start later.
