John Wick Creator Is Working On A Screen Adaptation Of Sifu

Story Kitchen is preparing a film adaptation of Sifu. This was reported by the journalists of the publication Deadline.

According to media reports, the Sloclap studio, which developed the game, will participate in the filming. The script for the upcoming film will be written by Derek Kolstad, who created the John Wick franchise. 

Now Derek Kolstad will also write the screenplay for the film version of Sifu. The director of the future film has not yet been chosen, and the casting has not started either.  But the project already has a full set of producers: Dmitry M. Johnson, Mike Goldberg, Derek Kolstad, Dan Jevons, Timothy I. Stevenson and Jeff Ludwig.  Most represent Story Kitchen. The project will be reminiscent of John Wick and Time by M. Night Shyamalan.

Sifu was released in early 2022 and sold over a million copies in three weeks. At The Game Awards 2022, it was nominated for Best Action Game, Best Indie Game, and Best Fighting Game.
