Human Horizons Reveals Details About Its HiPhi Z Electric GT

Chinese electric vehicle startup Human Horizons has revealed more details about its second product, the electric GT HiPhi Z.

HiPhi Z was first shown in November 2021. The company says it intends to redefine the traditional grand tourer as the electric vehicle “looks, feels and drives like a car from 20 years into the future.”

The doors are intelligent, equipped with an interactive ISD system and ultra-wideband (UWB) wireless technology with 100 millimeter positioning. This allows automatic detection of people, keys and other vehicles, allowing the doors to automatically adjust the timing and angle of opening.

Inside, HiPhi Z is equipped with HiPhi Bot artificial intelligence, which can automatically adjust every aspect of driving. Interior highlights include a center screen that can be rotated from landscape to portrait, a dual-spoke steering wheel, Ultrasuede Bio Galaxy soft-touch fabric, flowing panel lighting, a 23-speaker Meridian audio system, and racing-style bucket seats wrapped in vegan fabric.

The vehicle features a lightweight aluminum and steel construction, all-aluminum double wishbone front suspension, five-link rear suspension, air suspension and Continuous Damping Control (CDC).

The HiPhi Z will cost between $89,000 and $129,000 in China, with official release dates to be announced at the Chengdu Auto Show in August.
