Blizzard Has Stopped Releasing Content For Heroes Of The Storm
The development of Heroes of the Storm has not been particularly pleasing to fans lately.
Blizzard decided to move on. Heroes of the Storm is no longer planning to release content updates.
Heroes of the Storm is not closed yet. The MOBA game will be supported following the example of such projects as StarCraft and StarCraft II: “In the future, we will continue to hold seasons and rotation of heroes, while the in-game store will continue to work, however, we do not plan to add new content for sale in it.”
In the case of HotS, the company will take the approach familiar to StarCraft fans: technical updates and balance changes as needed. The game store will continue to work, but the assortment in it will also not change. At the same time, rating seasons and rotation of heroes will continue.
Next week, players will receive a mount, an extremely rare epic magical lizard, as a token of their gratitude. A month ago, the crossover of Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo and other Blizzard universes turned seven years old.
It is noteworthy that a couple of years ago, lead designer Brett Daybringer Crawford spoke about the project like this: “Personally, I don’t see an end to it.”
