Hideo Kojima’s Next Game Is Coming To Xbox
During the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, Hideo Kojima revealed that he has teamed up with Xbox for his next game.
The collaboration announcement was brief and did not include much information, but Kojima stated that the game would be “completely new”, calling it an experience he “always wanted to have”. It also looks like it will be leveraging Microsoft’s cloud technology in some way, though as with everything else about disclosure, we’re not sure how that will look like.
Of course, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard about a new Kojima project. The leader Tom Henderson of Try Hard Guides’ gave us some info on this earlier this week. The controversial leak became the subject of industry controversy after Try Hard Guides refused to cancel the publication of the article despite a request from Kojima Productions to remove it.
Some expressed disappointment with the way Henderson and Try Hard Games handled the situation, but it’s worth noting that Kojima’s desire to remove the information was a strong indication of its accuracy.
Kojima Productions seems to be having a hard time keeping its games under wraps in general, as Deathline actor Norman Reedus also recently revealed that he and Kojima have started working on a sequel to the polarizing 2019 action-adventure, saying quite bluntly, “We’ve just started the second one.” It was the first time a sequel was hinted at and it gave fans an understandable jolt of excitement, but we haven’t heard anything since.
