HBO Releases First Trailer For The Last of Us
HBO has released the first full trailer for the upcoming film adaptation of The Last of Us. The series stars Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian, Game of Thrones) and Bella Ramsay (Game of Thrones).
The show is based on the video game of the same name. The first season includes ten episodes. The release is scheduled for next year. The exact date will be announced later.
The story revolves around smuggler Joel (Pedro Pascal) and a teenage girl, Ellie (Bella Ramsay), whom he escorts through the deserted territory of the former United States. The action takes place 20 years after the global pandemic. As a result of infection, many people died, and the survivors mutated and lost their human essence.
The lead actors have already worked together on Game of Thrones. Pascal played Oberyn Mortell and Ramsay played Lyanna Mormont.
The Last of Us showrunners are Craig Mazin (Chernobyl) and Neil Druckmann, one of the developers of the original game.
