Google Translate On The Web Can Now Translate Text Within Images

Now Google Translate has added new features. Now you can translate the text contained in the image.  which uses the same AR technology as Google Lens.

When you go to Google Translate in your web browser, you will see a new “Image” option at the top. Click on it and select the image you want to translate. Surprisingly, there is no file drag and drop support, so you can’t directly drop an image into a browser window for translation.

After downloading, you can select the language to which you want to convert text to image. There is also the option to copy or download the translated text to your computer. You can turn on the “Show original” toggle to view the original and translated text in the side by side image. This feature is provided by Google Lens, as seen in the Lens translation footer.

Interesting that at the bottom of the Lens Translator site, it states that Google itself has started branding. It uses AR technology supported by Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) to help with language translation.
