God Of War Ragnarok Dominates The Game Awards 2022 Nominations
Today, The Game Awards, the video game industry’s annual year-end celebration, announced its 2022 nominees. This year’s impressive list of nominees includes the most innovative games, studios and creatives who have driven the gaming industry forward in 2022, 108 different games, individuals, teams and events spanning multiple gaming genres and platforms.
The leader in terms of the number of mentions in the categories was the adventure action game God of War Ragnarok. The development of Santa Monica Studio is mentioned ten times in the categories, but claims nine awards.
The Game Awards 2022 each received seven nominations for action RPG Elden Ring and post-apocalyptic action Horizon Forbidden West, six for cat adventure Stray, and five for medieval A Plague Tale: Requiem.
The Game Awards 2022 features 31 nominations. The newcomer this year is “Best Adaptation”, which celebrates series, films and other works based on games.
