Folding keyboard With Built-In Mini-PC on Ryzen 7 8840U

Chinese company Ling Long has introduced its product, now called the Lunar PC 2-in-1 Foldable Keyboard & Mini-PC, to overseas buyers. The system is powered by a Zen 4-based Ryzen 7 8840U processor built into the keyboard body. As the name suggests, the keyboard can fold in half.

Lunar measures 153 x 110 x 30 mm when folded and weighs less than 800 grams. The mini PC can output images via USB 4, USB 3.2 (USB-C) and USB 3.0 (USB-A). The equipment includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. According to the manufacturer, users can also use Lunar as a hotspot and access data stored on the device. Lunar can also be used exclusively as a Bluetooth keyboard.

There’s a 59.2Wh battery inside, and the battery life is listed as between 8 and 10 hours. The AMD Ryzen 7 8840U is a computing chip also known from gaming handhelds. Depending on the configuration you choose, there’s up to 32GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of SSD storage is available.

During the campaign to raise funds for the launch of serial production, the cost of the new product was $579 for the version with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of ROM, and $739 for the version with 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of ROM. This is significantly more than the cost of Lunar PC in China ($430 and $515).
