Ferrari Cars Will Go Electric

Ferrari says it plans to be carbon neutral by 2030. As part of this strategy, the automaker intends to introduce its first electric car in 2025.

The company’s CEO Benedetto Vigna recently said that the first such machine will set the tone for the entire future line. By 2026, more than half of the brand’s sales should come from hybrids and all-electric models. And by the end of the decade, this figure should rise to 80%.

Ferrari currently has four hybrid cars, including the SF90 Stradale. The company plans to manufacture battery modules and electric motors for its machines in Maranelo.

Ferrari is one of the latest manufacturers in the luxury segment to announce an electric car.  Bugatti, Bentley, Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin and McLaren all have plans to go all-electric by the end of the decade.

Ferrari promises a special electric car that will stand out with engine power, sound and weight. It is assumed that the brand’s cars will retain their exclusivity even after the transition to electric motors.

In September, Ferrari will unveil the Purosangue SUV, with a starting price of around $300,000. The demand for such cars is very high, but only 20% of the brand’s sales structure is allocated for a new car.
