Facebook Makes It Easier For You To Find Your Groups
Facebook is looking to change that as the company is testing a new user interface element that will allow you to easily access all the groups you’re a member of.
Facebook has decided to make groups much more intuitive with community-driven features
The new feature will come in the form of a sidebar that will pop out from the left side of the app, and the sidebar will list all the Facebook groups you’re a member of. Not only that, at the bottom of the sidebar you can also create a new group, as well as pin the ones that matter to you and discover new groups you might want to join.
In addition to this, Facebook is also launching Channels, a new way for group members to connect with each other on a smaller scale.
Facebook has mentioned how group admins can start creating channels starting today on both Android and iOS devices. You can set up three different channels, including chat, audio, and feed.
The chat channel will allow you to send messages and collaborate in real time in Facebook and Messenger groups. The audio channel works just like Discord, allowing you to have an audio room and turn on the camera. Last but not least, Feeds are designed to allow admins to “organize their communities by topic within a group so members can connect around more specific interests,” according to Facebook.
