Disney Reveals “Ahsoka” Release Date In New Trailer
Star Wars: Ahsoka has officially premiered on Disney+. The show was previously announced to debut in August, but has now been confirmed to premiere on August 23rd. Rosario Dawson plays the role of Ahsoka Tano in the series, which she first played in the second season of The Mandalorian and again in The Boba Fett Book.
The plot of the series will unfold parallel to the events of The Mandalorian. After the fall of the Jedi Empire, Order 66 survivor Ahsoka Tano travels the galaxy to investigate a mysterious new threat. Rosario Dawson starred in the show.
The cast also includes Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabina Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, the late Ray Stevenson as Bailan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hathi, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn and Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger.
Dave Filoni serves as the show’s writer and executive producer. Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson and Carrie Beck also serve as executive producers. Karen Gilchrist is co-executive producer.
