Compal DualFlip Laptop Concept With Two Screens Presented
Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Compal showed the concept of a DualFlip laptop with two touch displays. Its additional screen supports several layout options.
So, the designers came up with a special hinge that allows you to place it either above the main display or on the side of it. Both have the same diagonal – 13.3 inches. The device can also be used as a regular laptop.
The hinge design between the two Compal DualFlip screens allows the displays to be placed either vertically on top of each other or horizontally. You can also rotate the screens at a 115° angle and place the keyboard directly on the bottom to turn the computer into a traditional laptop.
By rotating the screens 180°, you can slide out the kickstand from the back for an expanded view – but you can still use the keyboard because it’s wireless. There is also an option to use only screens, turning the computer into a tablet that supports touch control or input using a stylus, including taking into account pressure.
The designers believe that their idea could be useful for people in creative professions. However, it is unclear whether it will ever become a reality. Compal produces products only on orders from other companies.
