Capcom released the game’s debut teaser trailer, featuring updated graphics and familiar characters. It appears the gameplay has been significantly reworked.
In a four-minute first-person cutscene, Claire Redfield visits her brother in Paris but is ambushed. In the original game, this section was featured in a cinematic introduction.
Following other remakes and the latest flagship games in the Resident Evil series, Veronica is being developed using Capcom’s in-house technology, the RE Engine. The video shows footage from the engine.
The game will be released in 2027 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch 2. The release is likely to take place in the spring.
