Bird Buddy’s New Smart Hummingbird Feeder Can Photograph and Identify 350 Different Bird Species
Bird Buddy is announcing a hummingbird feeder at CES 2023 to capture photos and videos of smaller, more flying group of birds. The hummingbird feeder uses the same camera as the original feeder, so Bird Buddy owners will have the option to buy just the hummingbird feeder and move the camera.
The Bird Buddy Hummingbird Feeder can be set up in your yard, park or conservation area. The developers claim that its design is adapted for outdoor use. The device does not start mold, food does not spill out of it and water does not pour out.
Bird Buddy also has a camera and a motion sensor, thanks to which it takes pictures and videos of its “visitors”. Then artificial intelligence sends these files to a special application and even identifies what kind of bird flew up to the feeder, because its built-in memory already has data on more than 1000 of their varieties.
Another interesting feature is the ability of the device to independently group photos and create entire collections that can be shared with family and friends. The feeder is also configured so that it immediately notifies of the approach of a bird, and its behavior can be monitored from a smartphone. The device can be equipped with compact solar panels so that the camera can work offline longer.
