Bethesda To Unveil Quake II Remaster At QuakeCon 2023

Experts in the field have told the media that the Quake II remaster will be announced at the upcoming QuakeCon 2023 festival in mid-August. According to them, Bethesda should present the game on August 10 or 11. According to insiders, Quake II Remaster will be released on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and Nintendo Switch. Since the game is published by Bethesda Softworks, the title can be released on a Game Pass subscription from the day of release.

QuakeCon is an annual gathering dedicated primarily to Quake, as well as other Bethesda games. QuakeCon traditionally features unexpected announcements, like a couple of years ago when a remastered version of the first Quake was presented at the show. Now it looks like history will repeat itself with the rumored Quake 2 remaster. QuakeCon 2023 will run from August 10 to 13, so fans will be able to decide. Thus, those who would not normally give a chance to an old game like Quake 2 may have a greater desire to try it.  For those planning to play the game via Xbox Game Pass, it’s worth noting that the Quake 2 campaign supports co-op playthrough and also includes a lot of multiplayer modes, so if all of this is included in the remaster, Game Pass subscribers who want to play with  friends will be delighted.
