Apple Dramatically Updated The Basic MacBook Pro
Today, October 31, Apple held a presentation of new products, to which it unexpectedly sent out invitations a week ago. It was dedicated to M3 processors, made using the 3 nm process technology. This fact allowed not only to increase the performance of Apple computers, but also to reduce energy consumption.
The Apple M3 processor has become the main advantage of the entry-level MacBook Pro. This chip is manufactured on 3nm technology and offers noticeable performance gains: in particular, it promises up to 60% speedup when editing video in Final Cut Pro compared to the 13-inch MacBook Pro on the M1. As usual, Apple only shared select performance statistics, so it’s difficult to judge just how much faster the M3 was than the M1 and M2 overall.
From the 14-inch MacBook Pro on M3 Pro and Max chips, the basic version inherited the design design, including a cutout on the screen. True, this new product will not be produced in the new black color: it will be offered in light gray and dark gray.
Pre-orders for new items in the US start today, and they will reach the first customers on November 7.
