All iPhone 17 Models Went Up In Price By 10% In Japan

Apple has raised prices on all iPhones in Japan. On average, smartphones have gone up by 10%.

In June, Apple announced price increases on a significant number of its products, primarily Mac computers and iPad tablets.

The company attributed the increase to a memory chip shortage and the accompanying price increases. The manufacturer did not raise iPhone prices, and the increase in smartphone prices in Japan is presumably due to a different reason: the yen’s weakening against the dollar over the past year.

The slim iPhone Air saw the biggest price increase in Japan, up 11.3%; the budget iPhone 17e saw the smallest increase, up 8%. In other countries, iPhone prices remained unchanged, according to MacRumors. However, both in Japan and other markets, the company increased the prices of iCloud+ and Apple Music subscriptions.

iPhone prices have not changed in the US and other countries reviewed.
