Acer Swift X 16: An Affordable Alternative To The MacBook Pro

With each generation, laptops in the same price range become more powerful. But it seems that new AMD and Intel CPUs, new Nvidia graphics cards and a number of other features will make the 2023 generation much more attractive than the previous ones. For example, Acer introduced the Swift X 16 OLED model, which starts at just $1,250. And for the money, a mobile PC offers a lot.

This laptop is equipped with the new AMD 7040 series processors, and if you want to get high graphics performance, you can choose a discrete Nvidia 30 and 40 series graphics card. The laptop is made of aluminum, and its trackpad is 33% larger than before. The manufacturer promises a 36% improvement in airflow.

In one version of the laptop, Acer uses a 16-inch WQXGA IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and a brightness of up to 500 nits. You can select an OLED screen with a resolution of 3200 x 2000, 120Hz and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage.

There are two USB-A and two USB-C connectors, through one you can charge your laptop. There is also HDMI 2.1, a 3.5 mm jack and a card reader.  The battery capacity is 76 Wh, which should be enough for 10 hours of operation.

Choose from AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS to Ryzen 9 7940H processors. The amount of RAM is 16 GB, storage 512 GB, 1 TB or 2 TB. Of the video cards, the GeForce RTX 3050 or RTX 4050 models are available.
