At the New York Auto Show, the Stellantis Group of Companies presented the most technologically advanced electric pickup truck – the Ram 1500 REV. The 2025 model year machine stands out from the competition in a number of outstanding ways. Let’s start with a range that reaches 800 km with a 229 kWh battery. A less “long-range” option is also offered – up to 650 km, with a 168 kWh battery. The machine has two electric motors – 250 kW each, which drive the wheels of the front and rear axles. The front module can be turned off to conserve battery power. Accelerating dynamics is amazing: 60 miles per hour (96 km / h) the car picks up from a standstill in just 4.4 seconds.
This attention to strength allows the pickup truck to have a pulling force of up to 6,350 kg and a load capacity of up to 1,225 kg. Those are impressive numbers, and the truck outperforms the GMC Sierra EV by 2,041kg in towing capacity and more than double its payload capacity.
In addition to air suspension, the pickup will offer semi-autonomous driving technology. Expect ParkSense automated parking, as well as active driving assistance. The latter combines adaptive cruise control with lane centering for hands-free driving.
At the same time, the truck is a high-tech product with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch infotainment system and a 10.25-inch front passenger display.
The Ram 1500 Revolution draws attention with a sporty silhouette with a characteristic separation of passenger and cargo parts, a high beltline combined with a low roof. The door handles are hidden, the B-pillar is missing, so the rear doors open in the opposite direction. As you can see, RAM tried to make the electric pickup as streamlined as possible: obviously, in order to get as much power reserve as possible.
