God of War Ragnarok Gets a Major Update with New Game+ and Additional Armor Sets
Santa Monica has released a major update for God of War Ragnarok. The description was posted on the PlayStation Blog.
The key addition can be considered the New Game+ mode, which allows you to start a replay with all the received improvements, armor sets and skills. At the same time, opponents become stronger, and individual passages closed by story-based improvements will be inaccessible to the corresponding points in the main story
With the release of the update, several types of armor appeared in the game, among other things:
- black bear armor;
- spartan armor and shield;
- Ares armor;
- Zeus armor.
In NG+, the authors allowed Kratos to increase the level of equipment, while the hero himself and his enemies will be stronger. The team clarified that the transformation of items will give a gold-plated coin – for it you can buy enchantments, the arsenal of which has been expanded. The developers have also improved the system for buying and selling resources in the store.
God of War: Ragnarok won The Game Awards 2022, taking home awards in six categories including Best Story, Best Soundtrack/Music, and Accessibility Innovation. The game was a great sequel that many players and journalists liked.
