Samsung Smartphones To Be The First To Receive Gemini Intelligence

Google unveiled a major update to Android called Gemini Intelligence—a suite of AI tools that effectively turns your smartphone into an intelligent personal assistant.

The first features will arrive this summer and debut on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 and Google Pixel 10 devices.

This strategic move is hardly unexpected, given how closely Google and Samsung have collaborated in recent years: the search giant often releases software solutions that debut on new Samsung devices before appearing on Pixel smartphones.

Ultimately, these solutions will work across the entire Android ecosystem, meaning the Gemini Intelligence suite won’t be limited to Samsung and Google devices. However, for a time, the features will be available exclusively on devices from both manufacturers, which will likely boost sales. Gemini Intelligence will be integrated into One UI 9, which Samsung has just begun testing, and the interface overlay will debut on upcoming foldable smartphones, expected to be unveiled in July. One UI 9 will run on Android 17.

All features will be optional, and Android will add a privacy panel that shows AI activity and a persistent notification if the system is running tasks in the background.
