Samsung Unveils Tablet That Can Work Without a Battery at All
Samsung has unveiled a new version of its rugged Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro tablet, which features improved performance, a larger battery capacity, and improved display and audio system characteristics compared to last year’s model.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro has a 10.1-inch TFT display (16:10) with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and support for increased sensitivity modes of the Touch Sensitivity sensor. The original version of the Tab Active5 tablet is equipped with an 8-inch screen. The Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro display has a brightness of 600 cd/m² and received improved Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection (instead of Gorilla Glass 5).

The tablet has a 10,100 mAh battery and supports hot swapping (that is, it can be replaced without turning off the tablet). In addition, the device can operate in No Battery Mode, receiving power directly from the network. This is intended for stationary installation in vehicles, as a workstation, without having to worry about the state of the lithium battery, constantly connected to the network. The tablet supports charging via USB-C (3.2) and Pogo Pin. The rugged tablet meets IP68 and MIL-STD-810H protection standards along with the included S Pen stylus.
The device is based on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor. The tablet will be offered in configurations with 6/128 GB, as well as 8/256 GB of memory. The permanent memory can be expanded up to 2 TB thanks to support for microSD memory cards.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro will go on sale this month. The company has not announced the price of the device.
