Vision Pro Is Already On Sale
Sales of Vision Pro, a mixed reality headset, have begun in the United States. The price of the device varies from $3499 to $3899. The first users praise the developers for non-standard solutions and picture quality, but so far the gadget has a lot of unresolved technical problems.
Apple’s first mixed reality headset offers users both augmented and virtual reality experiences. The device tracks the user’s gaze direction and also supports control using gestures and voice commands. Apple is positioning the new product as a “spatial computer” rather than a headset.
“The era of spatial computing has arrived. Apple Vision Pro is the most advanced consumer electronics device ever created. Its revolutionary and magical user experience will change the way we communicate, create, and explore,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said last month when the Vision Pro launch date was announced.
Although the gadget is impressive with its sophisticated technology, the creators of Vision Pro have not yet managed to make a full-fledged mixed reality headset. In fact, the user finds himself in an isolated space, which creates the illusion of interaction with reality. The strategy of broadcasting the surrounding space using cameras may turn out to be a dead end for developers.
