Valve To Allow Steam Users To Hide Some Games From Their Friends

Following November rumors, Valve has officially unveiled an upcoming Steam client update.

List of innovations:

  • Cart synchronization. Items added to your cart will now appear on all devices with the same Steam account. As part of testing, the feature only works on devices with a beta version of the application.
  • Private games. You can now mark individual games in your library as private on Steam. Previously, you could only hide your entire personal directory.
  • Private shopping. The game can be hidden from everyone even before purchase – the corresponding button appeared in the interface before placing an order. Pooled gifts. Now you can buy multiple gifts with one purchase. Valve has also made it easier to add messages to gifts.

The Steam update is still in beta – to access it now, you need to join the testing of the Steam client (Interface tab in Settings). The option is called Steam Beta Update.
