Tile Introduces Cat Collar Accessory With Bluetooth Tracker
Tile, the well-known Bluetooth tracking company, has provided a solution to a common problem with the release of Tile for Cats, a collar with an integrated tracker designed specifically for companion cats.
The new accessory looks like a regular cat collar, but contains a special silicone element to which a tracker can be attached. It is waterproof, dustproof and compatible with the Tile app for Android and iOS devices. The novelty is positioned as a safe accessory for cats, that is, it will not cling to things and surfaces around animals.
The developers claim that with the help of a Bluetooth connection, a pet can be tracked within a radius of 76 meters, and the charge of the tracker is enough for about 3 years. The collar is priced at $39.99 but is currently only available in the US.
In the past, Tile has offered to use their devices to keep track of your pets. In November 2022, the company recommended that cat owners attach a Tile Mate or Tile Pro to their cat’s collar. However, this solution turned out to be cumbersome and potentially insecure given the larger size of the Tile tracker.
