The Witcher Will Get A Remake On Unreal Engine 5
CD Projekt RED has officially announced that the first part of their trilogy of The Witcher games will receive a remake. It is being developed on the advanced Unreal Engine 5. And the original first part of The Witcher is being distributed for free in honor of the announcement.
The game will be created from scratch using Unreal Engine 5. The project is currently at an early stage of development. The Polish studio Fool’s Theory, which took part in the creation of Baldur’s Gate III, Divinity: Original Sin 2 DLC’s and Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, is responsible for it. CD Projekt Red will have “full creative oversight”.
Studio head Adam Badowski said that The Witcher is their first game and a very important moment for them. The developers promise to approach her remake with “maximum care and attention to detail.” Even the approximate release date is not specified.
The original The Witcher was released in 2007. The game was the debut project of CD Projekt RED.
