Smart Ring Samsung Galaxy Ring To Be Presented In July
At the Unpacked event in January, when the Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra were unveiled, Samsung announced the upcoming Galaxy Ring wearable device, but did not reveal details.
According to South Korean media reports, Samsung is going to officially unveil the Galaxy Ring as part of the next Galaxy Unpacked event, which will be held in the second half of July this year. At the same time, the company is going to introduce new folding smartphones Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6.
It is known that the Galaxy Ring will be able to take an ECG, measure blood pressure, and will also support contactless payments via NFC.
The device is currently in the prototype stage, with mass production expected to begin sometime between April and June. Apparently, Samsung will offer the Galaxy Ring in eight different sizes.
Apple has also accelerated its work in the smart ring space, patenting more and more features for a possible Apple Ring in the future. The (very small) market is currently led by Oura, which introduced its first smart ring in 2016
