Samsung Introduces Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition
The South Korean manufacturer has announced an exclusive version of the Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition. All participants in the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games, which will be held in France this summer, will receive it.
The new foldable smartphone is identical to the regular version on the inside, but has a bright yellow body, several pre-installed apps and a special Flipsuit case. The exclusive device will be gifted to all athletes participating in the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games as a symbol of Samsung’s 30-year partnership with the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
To make using the phones easier in Paris, every Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition comes with an eSIM with 100GB of 5G data provided by Orange. Also available are the official Paris 2024 app, the Athlete 365 platform, a closed social network for athletes, and the Transport Accred app.
It is possible that later the Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition will go on sale, but without bonuses that will be provided to athletes.
Samsung Wallet will be pre-loaded with a pass to redeem free drinks from vending machines located throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Village. A free public transport access card will also be provided.
Participants in the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games will begin receiving the Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition from July 18, a week before the opening ceremony.
