Polaroid Unveils Rretro Instant Camera With Unique Analog Effects

Polaroid has announced a new instant camera that allows photographers to be more creative and experiment with their shots. In addition to an exposure control dial, the new Polaroid Mod camera features a dial around the lens for switching between four creative shooting modes—each offering unique analog effects that are captured the moment the shutter button is pressed.

Key Features:

• Physical mode dial: A convenient five-position switch is located on the body around the lens:

• Auto — a classic mode with automatic exposure settings and an exposure compensation dial.

• Split Shot — divides the frame in two using a special rotating lens attachment, allowing you to capture two different halves in a single shot.

• Motion Freeze — delays the flash until the end of the exposure (similar to rear-curtain sync), capturing motion trails with a sharp subject at the end.

• Double Exposure — superimposes two consecutive frames onto a single image.

• Light Painting — a long exposure (approx. 7 seconds) for light painting when using a tripod.

The Polaroid Mod camera is already available worldwide via the Polaroid online store for $169.99. It will arrive in US retail stores on October 6.
