Nothing Will Release Low-Cost Headphones And Smartwatches Under The New CMF Brand

The company Nothing, specializing in the production of devices in a transparent case, has announced a new subsidiary brand CMF by Nothing. Under this brand, more budget devices will be produced, as announced by the founder and head of Nothing Carl Pei in his video message.

CMF in the brand name stands for “Color, Material, and Finish” which reflects the company’s design philosophy.

While the core Nothing brand will focus on “design innovation” using “premium” materials and “latest technology”, the CMF by Nothing brand will offer “clean design” that is “affordable” and offers “reliable quality.”

CMF’s first products will be wireless headphones and smartwatches, which will be introduced this year.  The sub-brand will have its own independent engineering team.

Pei also noted that Nothing has raised $96 million in investment that will be used to develop the new brand and develop the first CMF devices.

The network has repeatedly raised the question of Nothing’s connection with the Chinese holding BBK, which owns the OnePlus brand, founded by Pete Lau and Karl Pei. Experts believe that Nothing was created with the aim of capturing the American and European markets. In order not to evoke associations with Chinese companies, the brand was registered in London.
