Apple To Introduce Updated iPad Pro And iPad Air Tablets In Early May
Apple’s first iPad update in nearly two years could come in the form of an M3 OLED-equipped iPad Pro and a larger iPad Air.
The Bloomberg report said Apple was hoping to release updated iPad models “by the end of March or early April.” However, the company is still in the process of polishing updated software for new devices.
The new OLED screen included in the upcoming iPad Pro model also created difficulties for the manufacturer. “The screens in the latest models require the use of different production techniques, which causes delay,” the publication writes.
iPad Pro models, codenamed J717, J718, J720 and J721, will feature the new M3 chip and work with updated versions of the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil.
If Apple does decide to release a new iPad line in May, it will happen just before WWDC 2024, which Apple has set for June 10.
