Nintendo Unveils Bright Red Switch OLED Mario Red Edition

At the recent Nintendo Direct conference, the company showed off fresh gameplay for the upcoming platformer Super Mario Bros. wonder. On the occasion of the release of this game, the Nintendo Switch handheld console will receive a new design in bright red. A special edition OLED version of the console will debut on October 6, two weeks before the launch of the new Mario Wonder game starring the legendary plumber.

The handheld console will get a fresh design that matches the image of Mario as much as possible – the console itself, the docking station and the Joy-Con controllers will be painted in the iconic Mario Red color.  Mario’s silhouette will be imprinted on the back of the dock, and this special edition will be completed by a few in-game coins hidden under the back of the dock.

 The model will cost $350.  Pre-orders are now open on the Nintendo website.
