New Mafia Game Is In Development
Hangar 13, the California subsidiary of 2K Games, is developing a new Mafia game. Today, a senior studio executive confirmed the news and also talked about the 20th anniversary of the Mafia franchise.
There are no official details about the upcoming Mafia, and it will not be released soon.
“I’m happy to confirm that we’ve started work on a brand new Mafia project! There are still a few years left before the release, and we can not yet share the details. However, we are very excited to continue working on our beloved franchise and keep our players entertained with new stories.” – CEO Roman Hladík.
According to unconfirmed information, we are waiting for a prequel to the trilogy on the Unreal Engine 5 engine. The place and time of action is the island of Sicily at the turn of the 19th-20th centuries. The story tells about the youth of Don Salieri.
