Netflix Releases First Teaser Trailer For ‘Scott Pilgrim Takes Off’ Anime
Netflix today released the first teaser trailer for the anime series based on the comic book series based on the 2010 film. The teaser gives a glimpse of how the anime will play out and reveals the official title: Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. It also became known when we can expect the release of episodes: The premiere will take place on November 17th.
One of the features of the project is the return of the original cast of the film “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” to voice the main characters of the anime adaptation. Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kieran Culkin, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Evans, Ellen Wong, Alison Pill, Anna Kendrick, Brie Larson and more will return to bring the characters to life on screen.
Comic book creator Brian Lee O’Malley joined the project as showrunner, writer and executive producer. He is actively involved in the creation of the cartoon and works with BenDavid Grabinski. The director of the original film, Edgar Wright, also takes part in the project as a producer.
