Netflix Is Developing A Big-Budget PC Game
Newly founded game studio Netflix is already looking for experts to create an AAA game that will be released on PC. The team is creating a kind of action-RPG with a third-person view, which will be based on the Unreal Engine. And it looks like Netflix is planning to release a movie or series based on the project, expanding the universe.
So far, the company has posted a number of vacancies in the search for specialists in the gaming industry in the newly created division of Netflix Game Studio, which is headed by former Overwatch executive producer Chaco Sonny.
Based on the announcements, the company is looking for experienced programmers, technicians, designers, and a number of people for leadership positions. The project is described as “a brand new AAA game for personal computers, created on the Unreal Engine.” In addition, the vacancy for the chief programmer specifies that it will be an action-RPG with a third-person view.
The AAA class, also known as triple-A, includes computer games with a high budget, designed for a mass audience. As a rule, within the framework of such projects, large funds are spent not only on development, but also on marketing and advertising campaigns.
